Is Luvforbaby Diaper Service more expensive than using disposables?
No, cloth diapering is comparable in price and is the best choice for your child's health. Plus you will not waste time and gas to purchase disposables. On average, children in cloth diapers potty train one year earlier than children using disposables. For each year you potty train early you save over $1000.00 per year

How are the diapers washed?
Traditional diaper services use harsh chemicals to clean and sanitize their diapers. We use a blend of highly effective, baby-safe, fabric and environmentally-friendly, products in conjunction with our multi-step wash routine. All of our cleaning agents are biodegradable, hypoallergenic, and additive-free. There are no optical brightenersand fragrances tomask our cleaning. We employ a highly effective, industrialstrength sanitizer to destroy any harmful bacteria. Our sanitizing agent, while being strong enough to kill pathogens within two minutes, is also safe enough to be considered a food-grade sanitizer. In addition to our products and extensive wash routine, we also harness the power of the sun’s ultra violet light, which evidence-based researchindicates will also effectively kill harmful bacteria and viruses.

Can I use diaper cream with cloth diapers?
Please do not use Desitin or any fish oil based creams because they will permanently stain the fabric and effect the absorbency of the diaper.  Remember, a benefit of cloth diapering is that your baby will be much less likely to get diaper rash in the first place.  Recommended creams: Angel Baby Bottom Balm, California baby rash cream
note:  You will be responsible for the replacement of any diapers that are damaged due to misuse.

Can I wash the diapers being serviced?
We prefer that you don’t wash any of the diapers that we service. We work hard to develop a formula using additive-free, earth friendly, products that will effectively clean and sanitize all diapers.

How should I wash the diaper covers?
Most covers can be washed with your regular baby laundry.  Some covers require line-drying or air-drying.  Be sure not to use bleach on any synthetic product as it will yellow.  Dry on low temps or air dry in your bathroom or outdoors in the summertime.

What can I do about leakage?
Change your baby’s diaper whenever it is soiled and if possible, at a minimum of every two hours.  Be sure the cover does not have gaps around the legs and no part of the cloth diaper is peeking out of the cover.  You can purchase special clips we provide to secure even further the cloth portion of the diaper and then secure the cover as a second layer of protection.  Be sure to keep the pre-fold diaper securely inside the cover.  If there is any diaper exposed on the outside of the cover, you will get a leak!
